Southwest Archives: The Dead Trespasser Ranch, Valle Vidal, Very Large Array, Canyon de Chelly

I have a drop-dead deadline on a project today and you know what that means? It's time to purge my computer hard drive of redundant image files and transfer them to my archives. In other words, it's time to procrastinate with abandon. (Procrastination begets creativity, haven't you heard?) I'm one of the world's leading experts. So, in uncluttering my library of images from the last 10 years, I uncovered these favorites, all with stories attached to them. I won't tell them all because I really do have to meet my deadline, but the images themselves should say the proverbial thousand words. All of these but one are from 2002, 2003 and 2004, and all were captured on 35mm slide or print film transferred (poorly) to digital. Alas, when I attempted to have one of these images rescanned from the negative by one of Fort Collins' otherwise excellent professional imaging labs, the scan had lower resolution than the cheap Walmart scan that came with the original prints.

But, I admit, the graininess seems oddly attractive to me. Here they are:
