I dropped off a friend of mine at Philmont in northern New Mexico on Thursday, and it afforded me the opportunity to visit Crowley County, Colorado, one of the last two counties I had yet to visit in Colorado.
The Primitive Baptist Church welcomes visitors to Ordway with open arms.
Another Crowley County oddity: Hundreds upon hundreds of Union Pacific train cars — all nearly identical — lined up nearly end to end (with breaks for railroad crossings and towns) from Sugar City to the Pueblo County line. Nearly all of them were graffiti-decorated and some were smashed in.
One more county to go before I've visited all of them in Colorado. I have a hunch Philips County won't be on my itinerary very soon, but you never know...
